DAY 4 MATCH 26 – LIN Yun-Ju vs LIN Gaoyuan
Match 26: LIN Yun-Ju (TPE) 4 – 0 LIN Gaoyuan (CHN) (11-6, 11-10, 11-8, 11-8)
A surprising result more for the margin of victory and how Gaoyuan couldn’t find his way back into the match. But it wasn’t for the lack of trying as the Chinese Lin has his chance to level the score but was edged 11-10 in the second game. Malaysian leg champion Yun-Ju again came from behind to take Game Three and didn’t let up as he dominated the fourth game to complete an unexpected sweep.
I felt calm going into this match and can’t really explain how I won it. I didn’t think I would make the final again but I seem to play well in T2 and also with a lot of freedom. Will see who I meet next before deciding how to prepare.
I didn’t get into the game quickly enough and tactically he was spot-on. Not winning the second game after holding the lead was a real blow. He’s such a deceptive player, his spins are hard to read.
