Despite dropping the third game, it was apparent that the 19-year-old was in top form and proved too much of a handful for the Taiwanese opponent. The FAST5 provided no respite for Cheng.
My coach understands me well and knew when to step in to realign my focus, as we saw in the fourth game with the time-out. My previous defeats against Cheng gave me plenty of motivation and I prepared well and was able to play my normal game.
