Match 1: XU Xin (CHN) 4 – 0 WONG Chun Ting (HKG) (11-6, 4-1 retired)
A fast and frantic start to the tournament with two of the world’s best penholders doing battle. Unfortunately, it was also a quick end for Wong, who picked up an ankle injury while going for a retrieve in the second game. That’s after Xu Xin found his rhythm and pulled through to win the opening game before the match came to an early end.
